Hi
I have been using a BPL fully automatic for nearly 6 years now. No trouble inspite of rough use and moving residence twice.

hi bitika,
if u r a working lady or hv small kids then go for fully automatic machine . in semi automatic u hv to change tubs for drying and rinsing ur clothes . it needs time . that means ur busy with ur washing even if u hv machine . so i would suggest u to go for fully automatic .

top loading machine is better than front loading . if u forgot to put any cloth while washing u can put in top loading but not in front loading . and front loading takes more water and electricity rather than top loading .

Default My suggestion....

Hi Bitika
I agree with Heena.
Its better u go for Top Loading machine, which is fully automatic.
At my home, my mother bought a semi-automatic machine, but every time she needs to drain water and again filling it, oh! it takes a lot of time. Rather than that, u can wash by hand. We'll feel like that.
So I would suggest u to buy fully automatic one.

Gayathri.

Bitika
I have always used top loading. The first machine I used for 11 years( National Jumbo) was also top loading. I find it is more practical in our country. You can add more pieces of clothing as after thought. If u are in a hurry, you can add water from another hose so filling up time is reduced. If power goes off suddenly, you can take out the clothes and complete the washing by hand. Cleaning and airing the tub is also easier.

Hi

I am also planning to buy a new machine. But you cannot go for BPL cause' the mfg has been stopped and there is no service also available (As of now I am also having BPL).

The advantages of front loading (as told by sales person) were that

1) it has 2 wash and 3 rinse
2) Hot water wash
3) Consumption of less water as compared to top loading

They said Siemens is very good and the next one would be IFB.

Would wait for other views as well........

Default My two cents !

I have an I F B, fully automatic, front loading machine from '94 end !
After the initial warranty period, it is best to take Annual Maintenance Contract, which assures, all replacements will be free.
I use a variety of programmes - no complaint, whatsoever.
Love,
Chithra.
