Shopping Abroad for India

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice. We decided to buy some gem stone and pearls in a mall for my MIL and my mother and for older people.

Elctronic jewlary cleaning for someone. For teenagrs,we agreed to buy Ipods.....and for uncles we thought of buying camcoders and digital cameras.

And moreover we thought of taking 2-3 comforters for old people and almonds,raisins and chocalate food itms for somebody.

I will also follow your advice and I still have to search and decide for some
gifts.

Dear Srilak,

It is nice that you are buying electronics. But please a word of caution. Check the Indian Customs website before carrying more than 1 of any of the following: camcorder, digital cameras, ipods etc... You do not want be burdened with too much customs duty.

u can also buy fragrance candels,so they'll think abt u whenever the frangrance come from candels.

this is santhoshi, i have recently joined in IL. Iam going to India next month. iam planiin to take some gift for my parents , inlaws and cousin can anybody help me where to shop. What gift would be better to take from here to India . I live in sunnyvale California. pls suggest me about some stores also.
