Hi Jaya,

I am using IFB dishwasher and it is really handy when maids don't come or you have lots of guests for lunch/dinner or staying with you.

For me, even though i have a full time maid, but with the inflow of guests regularly i find the dishwasher a great boon as it can take care of all the chinaware and other small utensils.

Finally, we have to wash only kadhai & tawa used for roti-dosa etc. and any other utensil which is very oily. But the other crockery and vessels are taken care by the dishwasher.

If there is no water & power problem then i think you can go ahead and buy one.

Roopa.

Question Re: dish washers.

Dear Roopa,
Thanks for your response as I wanted to know in my other thread from somebody who already using it and what problems they are facing if any. I understand that if the dishwasher can wash even the dishes, plates cups etc , then also it is a great help. But can the kadhai not be put in the dishwasher at all? Is it because of the size of the vessel or dishwasher can not wash very oily vessels? One more thing can you pls tell me which exactly IFB model you are using? How much did it cost you? How long have u been using it? Did you face any problems in it like any mechanical or any parts related and how was the IFB service?
Sorry too many questions

Hi Jaya,

I am using Neptune. it costs around 23 or 27K i don't remember exactly.

Here in Pune the after sales service is anyways pathetic...they took around 4-6 weeks to install my washer. The dealer here is not very customer friendly in pune. So finally i logged on to the IFB website and registered a complain. Within 30 min i go a call directly from IFB and they did whatever was necessary.

Here in Pune i have noticed that if you want good after sales service...tell them we will complain in the media and to the consumer forum, they come immediately. Otherwise they don't heed your call.

Yes you can put the kadhai in there. There are multiple choices for selecting the wash cycle. I use the washer like US wash everything with water first and then put them in the washer.

Hi friends
I wanted to know whether palstic pots are safe to be washed in dishwashers?I put evrything including plastic and tupperware in it, except nonstick pans. But now my husband is telling me not to put plastic and tupperware in it.He says that as they are unsafe to use in microwave they should not be used in DW too.It may cause cancer!!!!!!! .i know abt microwave but abt DW i am doubtful. All my pots are DW safe(according to the label).Still he is insists not to put them in DW.
