bharathanatyam costume

hi, i'm asha here n from malaysia. i have a lots of interest in tailoring . recently i am interested in bharathanatyam costume tailoring. is there anyone who can help me ? hoping for a positive reply . thank you.

Welcome to IL. what are you looking for? Both my daughters are Bharathanatyam dancers and i have their dress. i can take photos of those dresses and post it to you.

hi friends ,
i am also so interests to stitch the dress. and i already stitched one dress also, but its very difficult to cut the pattern. so if anybody know the cutting of the dress it will be very great and very useful also. maybe some experienced tailors can do this one.

hi, shantha. so nice of you. i would be grateful if u can send me the pictures of the dance costumes. did u sew it by ur self? if yes can i hve the method or the draft of the costumes. anyway how long ur daughters have been learning baratham. my daughter, from age 6 and now she is 16. hope to hear from you soon. bye and take care.

hi thanks for your concern. ur dress really look so nice eventhough ur are not an expert costume tailor. for my view you should make the fleets smaller. how did you sew the pants ? that is the though part of the costume sewing. if the pants go wrong everything will go wrong. if you don't mind can i know how you draft the pants. thank you again.

We used this for making our bharathanatyam costumes, sent the measurements to India and my Mom made it for us... No idea how well this would serve your purpose!!!
