    Hi........
    I am new in stitching. Just learning from wonderful threads here. Can anyone guide me how to make dupattas?I am stitching a salwar kurta using raw silk.Please suggest what kind of material can be used for dupatta.How can we make dupattas with borders? What kind of materials are normally used?Experts please help...........

    Hi. Aachal,I feel duppatta should be of thin synthetic material.You can add borders to the to the kurtha .you can even embroider.I feel stitching borders to duppatta gives abrupt ending near the edges.That is what I feel.

    Why not use net material and stitch the border as said by Vani :) That would give a nice look or you can use glitter tube paints and provide a border and cut in a jagged or curving manner :)
