sorry i guess i didnt explain properly. what i meant is that once i complete the pleats, whether i do 1 inch or 1/2 inch pleats, on the leg portions i then sew the leg portion to the waistband.

now here comes the problem.
the waistband gets filled with the pleats and there are so many pleats left over. meaning the material i do the pleats with is too much.

i hope someone can understand what im trying to explain.
