    hi every one,
    i am new to this forum,got very much impressend by all of your works ,can any one help me out in chudiadar cutting?i have little idea abt cutting and stitching but the shape near the armhole is not turning out good can any 1 help me out

    How to sew a churidaar?

    Hi All,
    It would be really nice if someone can please help me to cut and sew a churidaar (the one which is like a tight fitting pants with lots of churees - pleats near the ankle). I know that we start by making a bag - but what after that?

    Manju,

    The salwar suits are available in shops as complete sets which has nearly 2 1/2 mtrs for tops, 2 mtrs for bottom and 2 mrts for dupatta. The shop keeper will guide you to identify which is tops, bottom and dupatta.

    You can also buy plain cotton cloth (2 mtrs) from the shops for stitching bottom and try stitching.

    hello archu,

    I think you have made a deep curve for the arm hole while cutting or drawing. You may follow the curve which I have drawn for the tops. Actually salwar sleeve is very easy to cut and stitch unlike blouse which is a little difficult.

    Hi
    I still have not been able to get a good pattern to make a churidar. I know there is some easy way to make it by folding the fabric into a bag of some sort.

    (Sleeves measurement) Please clarify

    The measurement for 0 to 5 as per your instructions should be half of 0 to 3, am I rite or it means something else? And in the image its not exactly in the centre of 0 to 3, it looks quite less, please clarify on this. (Once again thanx a lot for this wonderful tutorials):thumbsup
