Recycled Kerala saree to make dhoti-jhuba for son

    Another recycling attempt from me. My 3 yr old son wore this twice, for his 'Vidyarambam' and for another family get together. :)

    That's lovely.
    Cute and functional.I liked how you did not over do it as most people tend to do when there is so much of good border available.I used to go crazy making lehenga cholis for my daughters.

    yellowmango, This was really not a saree- it was a kerala mundu(2pieces and is far less than 5.5 m) Since it is Kerala handloom material, I used the same for lining of the top too. The entire thing was used up. Only a small border (golden kasavu ) remains. :-D
