    Hi Ladies,
I am a hobbyist. I am looking for a basic entry level sewing machine for mostly house hold item sewing and a little bit embroidery (if possible).

I am confused on which one to buy,
    1. USHA Allure
    2. Singer Fashion Maker
    3. Brother GS2700
    4. Brother LS2000

My budget is within 10k and want maximized usage.
Also, how is service for Brother Machines? How are they? Are they worth?

    Please help me.

    Thanks
    Pronita

I have used all three brands. Usha is my favorite. If taken care properly all three of them do a very good job.

about Brother machines i have no idea.
singer fashion maker i used for 13 years and recentky exchanged it with usha janome.
    so myvote goes for usha.
it is handy, compact and easy to handle also.
    user friendly.
while buying i opted for dream stich and now cursing myself for not buying allure.
    better buyAllure.

Recently I brought JUKI made in Japan with standard embroidery design, auto thread tension and auto cut with all types of zig zag threading futures.

My advise is what about is the brand check for auto thread tension and buy because each and every time i faced lot of problem to adjust the thread tension.
