    Not necessarily. I've had Kurtas with fabric buttons which were used for buttoning.

    You can use them like regular buttons.Some shops do those buttons for us. in some places we get buttons which we our selves can cover them with cloth.In India we get a machine to cover the buttons with cloth.

    There are two type of cloth buttons. The traditional type are done by a machine where a metalic peice is fixed on the under side of the button. This holds the cloth in place and has holes for sewing on the buttons.
    Rajasthani clothes have cloth buttons which are hand made.They are usually made by stuffing cotton in a piece of cloth and stitching it up...quite like a bundle.

    Reversible Dress

    I always wonder how to make a reversible dress! Where does the seams come?
    Luxiraj had posted one some time and I wanted to ask her but looks like she doesn't come on IL anymore. :-O
    Vani Mam, can u share the tips to make a reversible dress?
