Visit Schools in Aug ?

Hello all ILites,

We are planning to R2i next year to Chennai. We are visiting Chennai this August for a wedding. I know that most schools do not issue application forms until December/Jan, but since I will be there in August only, I want to visit my short-listed schools. I am thinking of maybe contacting the administration via Email and then visiting them in person. I am thinking of giving them a bio-data and application letter - to atleast get the communication process started so it will be easy for me next year.

I am looking for grades 2 and LKG and my shortlisted schools are
1. HariShree
2. AVM
3. VidyaMandir
4. Bala VidyaMandir
5. PSBB

Now I need inputs from you all - Is this even possible ? Will schools be willing to meet a prospective parent in Aug for next year admissions ? Any ideas on how best to approach the schools ?
When I visit the schools I would also love to look at the school/classrooms/teachers and meet other parents.

I highly appreciate any feedback.

Last year when we went to India, we did visit some schools (It was in January). Some big reputed schools did not let us in. We could not get past their gate security!! They said we have to come on the alloted date when applications are issued. Maybe ILs who reside in Chennai will know better how to approach these schools.

And we also did visit some new international schools(Gateway, Headstart and Vaels) and they gave us the tour of the school and gave us all the details.

We did not visit all the schools in your list, you can always go there and try.

yeah, I think so. Actually we didn't correspond to those schools in email. We just decided to visit some schools when we were in chennai and went there spontaneously.
you can try to contact PSBB millenium, if you are interested(heard they correspond well in email)
