Exclamation Confusion about schooling

Hey,

Can you give me some feedback on La Chateline school in Valasaravakam / PON Vidyashram / PSBB, K.k. nagar / Vani vidyalaya / other CBSE schools in and around K.K. Nagar? I saw their websites but I want to know from your guys if it is good, parents or friends of parents whose child is studying there.. can you give me your opinion on these school?

In La Chateline, it says that 1st std to 5th std is computer based learning - how will the children take interest in book reading? is there some info that I am missing here. Please advice and give your opinions plsssss.

Some schools say that the mother should not be working. Is it True? Are mothers of all their students, home makers?? If we are working, will our children loose on academics / co-curricular activites in school? Isn't there any other way?? common, there should be some arrangement so the teacher and the working parents coomunicate equally as non-working mothers do. Atleast, those children too should be given attention by the teacher. Cant working mom's help their kids after work and all weekends? Cant these kids be given equal attention by the teacher? I hear in some schools, teacher ends up given more attention to students whose mother's often visit school (to pick up and drop) and get to speak to the teacher about the child's progress. What happens to the other children like mine. I am full time working mom. My kid is going to Playshcool and I need to apply in these schools starting this october. Before that I need to be prepared and decide on how I am going to handle it. Do mothers have to leave their jobs so the child is given lot of importance and so excels in academics?? Please help me form this confusion. Or Am I just getting panicked.

Please let me know how you or your friends manage their children's academics/ other activities while working full time. how do you assure their teachers that you are always accessible and available to the child?

Talking Re: Confusion about schooling

Hi Arthi,

If you are looking for CBSE, i would suggest PSBB for sure. Good school with cool reputauin in my honest opinion.

For stateboard, I wouold strictly suggest AVM matriculation Hr.Sec school in Saligramam that is backside of avichi school.

Lets others also say their opinion.

Default Re: Confusion about schooling

Arthi,

Don't press the panic button yet.

It looks like you have gathered too much info..and remember too much info without any substantial proof, leads to more confusion.

coming to the schools, all are good. you cannot have a perfect school unless you start one..(remember somebody else will have -ve about it.) in nutshell what is good for you may not be good for others.

We have been discussing the indian education system . you may want to go through that too.

Regarding working mom's and schools, yes i have heard a lot of grumbling in that quarters as there are few parents who are not able to give quality time to the child (not all).

regarding the schools, as i have always said go and check out the school personally.
