i have two boys who will be going to ukg in 2010, this year they will be doing their pre school in nj, usa. I wanted to put my children in chennai schools for their lkg itself, somehow it got pstponed due to some inevitable reasons. We will surely be going to chennai next year ie 2010 to join my kids in ukg in chennai. I like the school-psbb in k.k. nagar. so hoping we will get admission for ukg in psbb we are also planning to buy a home at k.k. nagar. I want to know what will be the entrance test / interview for kids at ukg level in psbb. what do they expect from students both reading and writing. If you friends can help me giving information on this i can my train my kids on that this year fully. what is the lkg syllabus in chennai schools usually. I want to teach my kids that books also. How is the school psbb and do you know if i can get admission for ukg in that school. Do the kids surely be upto the school's expectation in the entrance exams, or will they be flexiable?
what is next best school to psbb in chennai?
I 'm looking for a cbse board with good old culture and values followed in the school.

My daughter is 3 years old now. I got application form from PSBB KKNagar. I have a question regarding PSBB K.K. Nagar for LKG.
Do they take recommendations or is it purely based on merit? I heard that mostly brahmin kids get admission there. Is it true? Do they give high priority?
What is the criteria that they use for selection process?
If any one knows any information about this, pls reply.

As far as I know, admissions are not taken in for LKG. They expect the kid to join pre-kg and continue from there...I may be wrong..
But, even i heard that brahmin students have a preference. Also, I know of people who have used recommendations for their kids admission into PSBB KK nagar.

my friend just admitted his kid into pre nursery. They had sections up to H. AtoH, i dunno how many sections were there. But he says the fees are around 30K per year.

Hi All - My name is Lalitha and my daughter "Shruti" was born on Sep7 2004 and we live in US now. As we plan to reside in T.Nagar Chennai , we are planning to admit her in PSBB Thirumalai pillai Rd for academic year 2010. She will be 5.5 years at that time.
Could anyone let me know the admission procedures in this school. I hear from others that application to any grade other than LKG is difficult. is that True ?. Is there a reserved quota for NRI.
