| Poorni, RMK is run by a ex- mla. and the whole group is family run. not having heard much otherwise. Isha have heard good inputs from poeple..but the school follows a different system. it depends on what you are looking for in a school. Again if you are looking at a all girls residential school with discipline, I would say check out Shri Sarada salem, also coonoor, ooty and kodaikanal have good residential schools.. There is st.johns residential school..palanjur...near chennai...

| hi infoseeker, I think you have nothing to worry when ur kid is just 3!. Iam in Sydney and I have a son who is 3yrs and 9 months old. He goes to a montessori preschool here. Iam sure that kids in India are definitely pressured to learn more compared to their counterparts in other countries. I think whatever they learn in LKG and UKG can be taught at home without the pressures of schooling in India. I feel it is better for your kid to have the UK exposure for another 2-3 years. You can always go back when he is in grade 1. (1st standard). I feel you still have some time. Why to put your kid thru the ordeals of LKG, UKG when in UK he will enjoy playgroups/ good preschools. I started teaching colours to my kid when he was 2 yrs and I struggled hard to teach him all the colours. But when he turned 3, it just took me 2 days to teach him all the shapes!. The older they are, the more easily they learn. I feel you can keep a check on the Indian syllabus and coach your child when he is going to move to India. I have to move to India for my husband's job and hence i cant avoid putting my son in these KGs . Anyway am thinking of montessori schools too. I hope this is a good ![]() |
