Read your mssg. Thx for replying. You had said that some schools offer sanskrit as second lang, do you know which schools are those ? (from the one I listed), and another question is, do these schools start sanskrit from the beginners stage in 6th grade ? Pl. let me know.

As far as i understand i think sanskrit is freshly taught also.

why dont you check the schools.

I just saw u'r mail...I thought i will input m opinions..
I too am plannin to get admission in PSBB for my son next year..i mailed the PRO and they replied me instantly...They have asked me to mail his preschhol certificate or proof that hes attending his preschool here by Nov/dec(cuz the admission will start during jan) and they have also asked for local contact addr
So u can mail the pro of the school u wish to admit u'r kids..I think they 'll do the needful

PSBB is far away from my residence (from Pursawalkam). Can you clarify what PRO means? is it a mail id of the school. Do you think, PSBB offers sanskrit or hindi as a second lang (at the beginners level) from 6th grade ? Was there any recommendation ? Does your kid speak/wirte good tamil ?
