Hi smrithi,

You can try st.brittos, this is also in velachery. regarding dav velachery/arsha i have given my opinion in the other thread.

Since you are in madipakkam, try modern school in nanganallur. it is good school.

Hi shanvy,

Thank you for your reply. I'll be settling near pursawalkam, which will be closest to kilpauk. There are 4 CBSE schools near kilpauk. They are Rajaji Vidyashram, Bharatiya Vidhya Bavan, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, & Kola Saraswathi. I have absolutely NO IDEA about the performances of these schools. If you can help me out regarding second lang & admission procedure offered in these schools for NRI kids like mine, will be of tremedous help to me. Reg. second lang, I don't insist my kids that they should learn tamil or hindi only. Whichever shld me easier for them, i'll prefer that. Like you said, if sanskrit is going to be better, then, I'll go adhead with that. Thank you for your valuable info.

you are welcome.
Hi all these schools are good. if you are looking into acamedic oriented schools you have taken a correct list. but i think you have some other schools in pursai area. and admissions should be the same in most of the schools. just ask somebody to keep track of the dates for application pick in all. and submit.

exams will be mostly in english, maths and second language. and most schools have the sanskrit as an option from 6th..so may be you could check out these schools for the second language option. give me few days will give you more details.

Post Re: About school

Hi Lakshmipriya,

Even I am trying for admission in DAV, Mogappair... I heard from many people that there is a distance restriction for admission into DAV schools... But not sure... About the age limit, many schools take children who complete 3 years as on May 31 to LKG... But there are schools which admits children who completed 3 years on March 31 also... My daughter was born on May 4, 2004 and I am putting her to LKG next academic year, that is June 2008 session, when she will complete 4 years of age....

You can try calling the school directly and find out about the age criteria.... Your child is so small... You can join him in a play school this year and seek admission to LKG next year.... But it is up to you...

GOOD EARTH SCHOOL - FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

Junior school is near Kishkint(Amusement Park) - pre kg to I std
Senior School in NADUVEERAPATTU VILLAGE - 2ND - 12TH STD

though senior school is 14 kms away from tambaram , it tooks only 20 mts to reach the schoo, since, there wont be heavy traffic, and the atmosphere itself will be different frokm other schools, this doesnot have big big buildings and over strength

Teacher student ration is 1:10

Dr.GAJANANA RAO( Deen of A.G.HOSPITAL, TAMABRAM)
he is the Chairman

GOOD , KIND=-HEARTED AND WELL TRAINED TEACHERS WILL BE THERE
i feel they are the ASSETS OF GOOD EARTH

so, the school will provide good Infrastructure facility which will be hygenic in all aspects

Main thing is this school is following WORDS OF j.krishnamurti

NO REWARDS - NO PUNISHMENTS
NO FEAR - NO TEAR

u can check with the website also its www.goodearthschool.org

There will be very friendly environment, and very affectionate student - teacher relationship

No heavy homework or writing works, they almost teach in ABL method that is ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING and take childrent to lot of FIELD TRIPS for practical learning and give INNOVATIVE PROJECT WORKS , NO EXAMS till 5th Std.

Students will talk Good English

They, like other schools ahve lot of extra curricular activities

They provide HEALTHY AND HYGENIC LUNCH to students and it is compulsory, where they teach TABLE MANNERS AND MAKE THEM TO EAT ALL VEGETABLES AND FRUITS AND ALL FOOD VARITIES

And, my son is studying there from the beginning , now he is in 3rd standard
