School for US return kid near velacherry for UKGG

Hi,
At present I am in US.Just two months back I had a baby gal and processing all formalities to get her passport and PIO so it delayed our retunr to India an I will be there only in july end.But my son is 4yrs old and I didnt know where to get admission for my son.WE tried lot to get admission from here..All asked to bring our kid there to get admission..I want admission to my son in some decent school near velacherry..Di someone in this forum have tried amission late in july and got amission in any school..IF so can someone help me .

am in sydney and i will be returning to India around august. Am looking around for schools near pallavaram. I came to know that vels vidyashram pallavaram has a few vacancies. (If u dont mind the commute from velachery to pallavaram!.). You can also try srujana montessori school pallikaranai. www.srujanamontessori.com/ for this year and switch over to some other schools later.

One more option is to put him in any play school near your place and wait for first standard admission. I have also been enquiring many schools like navadisha in velachery but they seem to have finished their admission procedures for the academic year.

Thnks a lot for the info u have given.I will ask some of my in-laws to try there..But I didnt know how much distance will it be..Because this is first year I am going to send him to school in India..so if it faraway as u told I have to try some schools around velachery..I heared as Pon vidhyashram of PSBB are also opening new school nearby somewhere in and around pallikaranai..So there, classes are startin in July 2008.If u want to check better check this school also thendral..After getting admission in some of the schools nearby please update me thendral.
Anyone have idea of this new ponn vidyshram school friends.

I stay in velachery. Around this area, for UKG - My suggestions are certianly Navadisha. It is close to my house. They have a unique teaching pattern, and follow a non-academic approach. If you require any other help, like getgin forms, talking with teachers - i will be glad to help...do let me know!!

What's the Student : Teacher ratio?
Is the fees very expensive?
Do you see children from middle class families there or only from rich families?

Thnks for ur response..when I enquired thru mail to navadisha they told as no vacant..I am going to velacherry,India in July end..Can I able to try there again, even if I have to apply now and pay the fee I can ask my bro-in-law to do all the process from there..My in-laws r in velacherry so they can do all formalities..If u help me to contact there I can talk to them.

I will go to the school today evening, and get back to you with these.My mom's friend's kid are studying there. As far as I know, the student teachers ratio is very good, and individual attention is provided. Fees, is not expensive actually, when compared to the standards. About families, no - students from almost all walks of life study here. It is a small school, with only less awareness of it. And, it is being backed by the Kalki family, and so the kind of people who come, are mostly those who know the management, and the school personally. As far as i know, they dont advertise.

I wil visit the school in about two days, enquire and let u know. Btw, for what level are you looking at admissions for your child? And, yes it is true that once the stipulated number of seats are over -admissions get over there.

I will definitely update you if I get any details. I also got a 'no vacancy' mail from navadisha. But I intend to keep trying.

Sorry I had guest in home for a week so didnt reply..My son is 4yrs and 3months old..So I think to put him in UKG or whatever elgibie in that school for his age..
