Hi Sondarya,
Thank you for your response.
I have couple of questions:

When do they start admissions in Abacus?>
Is the class strength big or small?
How much is the fees there?

Thank you in advance.
geena

Hi Soundarya
Just a few more questions about the school apart from the ones that geena has asked you about class size etc.
1.What kind of Extra curricular activities do they have.
2.Have you also returned to India after living elsewhere? The reason for this qn is just to know how smooth the transition was for your kids, when you put them in Abacus?
3. What about second language? I have a 5 year old just started school in Melbourne and has started on French as that is the only second language they offer. Some schools dont even have that. So what are the 2nd langs offered?

Thanks in advance for your comments on this.
Regards
Sumathy

Hi sumathy,
i hv been a resident of Chennai since birth!I liked Abacus from the time i heard about methodology and concepts taught there evn before my children were born!I have been observing classes done in school(now this is something unheard of in other schools)since 1989.My elder daughter was born in 1990..I had registered for her in 1991!.She joined PPI in 1993 and my second daughter in 1996.
Environment:
the classroom consists of just 15 children in different environments .they do have a mixed age group until class 2.Languages offered are Tamil, hindi. For Nri's French.Extracurricular activities :sports, arts etc.The children are taught various skills which they get to display during the Concert. All of them need to participate. Its a child friendly school.generally we dont get to c any weeping children out there.I hv mentioned the address and web address. Please chk it out.
warm regards,
soundarya

Thanks Soundarya for your detailed response. The reason why I asked about Montessori is , my son attended montesori preschool for a year and he liked it a lot. He really adapted well to the vertical curiculum offered, because, in most scenarios, he has always been bored at preschool doing the same thing again and again, but he was very much ahead of children of his own age. In montessori, there was no limiting factor for him, he could just start and continue, form whatever, level he was in.
I am planning to visit, India, this year end and am planning to make a visit to Abacus at that time. If I need any help in securing forms or anything, closer to that time, can I get help from you.

Thanks again for your response.
Sumathy
