| dear shanvy, thanks for your reply. I will be in India on July 13th and I hope to start my legwork then. am not particulard about the school name but prefer the schools to be less business-like. Looking out for modern school nanganallur too. But from sydney its really hard to judge the distances my kid will have to travel. Anyway since vels is my nearest option , I will put it down as my first preference. |

| Thendral, You are welcome. IF you have not been to chennai in the recent times, you maynot be aware of the traffic in south chennai. and coming from pallavaram to nanganallur modern school will be taxing. As you are in town next month check out the schools in your area. from pallavaram, chromepet will be easier on you.

| Hi AbiV and others, When I went to India in Nov 07, I got my son admitted to psbb, and I am planning to be back soon (aug may be). Glad to see this thread where you are planning to get admission to this school or have already admitted. AbhiV, saw that your kids are starting school here. Please let me know your first hand experience with your kids at this school Where did you relocate from? (US?). Which class is your kid now in? My kid goes to 1st std. Where are you put up in chennai currently? Hows the commute to this school? We are thinking Nanganallur. If any of you are planning to return to this or around this area in chennai in 2008 please let me know. We can keep in touch, Last edited by sangk76; 22nd July 2008 at 04:10 PM. |

I think AbiV, is little busy. she has returned back from us only. And nanganallur is a good area for commute to this school and have seen school buses plying from here. Have a friend's daughter going there, they are happy about the school.

| shanvy, Though many people are happy with the school, I heard that students are given their own laptops from grade 2. I found this alarming! That is why I opted not to check out the school. |

| thendral, YEs this is teh first school in chennai to have laptops at school level. the parents feel it is a status symbol. i had rejected this school two years back because of a different reason.

| Hi We have relocated to Chennai recently & my kids( 2 of 'em) goto PSBB Millennium. After doing some research on the schools in Chennai, we finally settled on PSBB M & so far I've no complaints. I guess, everything depends on what your expectations are from a school rather than what the school has to offer. In the place where I stay, lots of children goto this school. As is the case with everything, people have mixed opinions. Rest assured I am happy that my kids like it here & have adapted remarkably well.
