Schools in Velachery, Chennai

Dear Friends,

I am looking forward to admit my 3 year old for LKG in schools near Velachery. I am currently staying in Velachery and it would be great if you could give me suggestions about good schools to admit him. He still hasn't talking yet, so it would be great if you could provide information abt schools that give specialized training for communication for the children. If you don't have information regarding specialized training, please do provide information about good LKG schools in Velachery. Information on schools around Velachery like Adyar/Medavakkam/Madipakkam/Tiruvanmiyur would also be great.

I stay ion Velachery and my neigbours son goes to LKG in Chettinadu vidyashram at RA Puram..
what is is the age limit for LKG in chennai? I am still trying to figure out if my 2 yr old can join in 2009 or 2010.

Should have completed 3 yrs as of what month?
for e.g schools say child should have completed 3 yrs 6 months as of june 1st of that academic year...my kid would have completed onmly 3 yrs 4 months by then..so she misses out on the admission that year, right?

3. Vani vani matricualtion in IIT Campus
4. Guru nanak matriculation school ear to Guru nanak college
5. Bharat vidyalaya - Dhandeeswaram

Even u have lot of Play schools in and aorund velachery area.

would like to know, if you feel he is a slow talker or you feel he needs special attention...both are different
If he is a slow talker, I would suggest get the admission in one of the schools if they give kg it is fine otherwise prekg and in the meantime, put him in a playschool where he can mingle with other kids and get to know the school atmosphere..sometimes mingling with other kids, will make him talk faster..
if he needs special attention, you need to approach this differently otherwise, the regular stream will make it difficult for him...as you need teachers with more patience and all...

I live in Velachery and my 3 yr old isn't speaking either. Have you found a school? I send him to Vael's billabong but he meets with a special educator thrice weekly. There is summer school on now mondays to saturdays or days of your choice.
