School admission

Hi teju,

What I have seen is you may get admission to LKG even if the school has a pre-KG..because many people tend to move to other schools/other areas. Many schools are more approachable/flexible if you go directly. She will lose a whole year - do you really feel its a loss? Might be that she will learn more in having fun at home/playschool than by sitting still in a class for 3 hours! and maybe it will give her a headstart when she joins LKG!

Hi all

Does any one have first hand info on Bambino and Hari shree vidhyalaya? Pls let me know. I am currently based in Istanbul and i would like to secure admission for my daughter in grade 3. When shld i approach these schools for the admissions? Also if there is a website for these schools and if anybody has the link can u pls forward it to me?

I know I was crazy about losing a year, etc, but nowadays it has become a part of life where everyone is being pushed, even kids I never attended preKG. But now every kid is attending. Sometimes I think I should not put her in a school at all Let her join a school whenever she wants to or when she is about 7 years old. Crazy!!!
