I am planning to admit my son in Pre-kg in Chettinad Vidyashram. Can you please let me know when the application forms are given, interview is conducted & results announced.

1. Do they have a pre KG section?
2. When do they start distributing admission forms and when are the results announced?
3. What is the admission process like?
4. Do we need recommendations, donations to get admission?
5. If you have children going to this school, kindly share experiences (good, bad) about the school

I had thought of Chettinad but had left it out as it was too tasking to go from my place.
1. they have pre-kg
2.Application forms for given in the month of december. but it would be no harm to try to call in end november itself.
3.Pre-kg i dont know.
4. donations are part of cv. but how much i am not sure. recommendations is worth having.
5. I don't have any children going to this school.

Chettinad Vidyashram has pre-kg section. I think they start giving application in the month of Dec.

I have a 3 yr old son and i currently stay in the US.....we are coming back to chennai and going to stay in OMR....i have no Idea abt the schools nearby......kindly help me with info on good schools in Thoraipakkam,Perungudi,Sholinganallur.Kelambakkam, Adyar area if any of your kids are going to the schools in this area pls share ur exp and let me know the details as when the admission starts and contact info.

There is abacus at perungudi, sishya in adayar, American school at thoraipakkam, then headstart at injambakkam.
We have discussed most of the schools in the schools in chennai thread. go through it. if u want any more info you can ask.

Thanks for your response. Yes i did go through the threads it was very useful and i have come to know few school names......but i wld like to know more abt these schools as to how the standard is if somone has their kids studying in these schools kindly help me out.

Hi nitya,

Heard abacus is good.most of the celebrity children are there..heard kamal's daughter is a product of that school.
American school is very accommodative and adjustable for the kids back from us but the fees is very high.
Sishya school is icse and the reputation is good. but the children develop a attitude that is what i heard.but the management also has an attitude...
Hey BTW you have vaels billabong which is very good..for nri kids..the teachers are also good..
I am sorry i dont know of kids who study in any of these schools. let us see if someone else knows.

1. Is it as good as the PSBB schools in KK Nagar, nungambakkam
2. what is the admission procedure to pre-kg like?
3. Do they have interviews to pre kg?
4. what is the teacher-student ratio?
