Discuss school admissions 2012- 2013

Hi all,
Went thru the entire thread, was very useful.
Thanks for starting this thread in the appropriate time, where the mothers are really confused and tensed as to the admission of their kids.
Now, over to my issue:
My son will be 3 yrs in June month and I am residing in Madipakkam.
Still not decided where to put, and whether pre-kg or LKG.
I have shortlisted akshayah matric - velachery and st brittos academy as of now.
Can anyone let me know their own experiences and the procedures involved.
Even plz suggest any other schools nearby.
URGENT - as time is very less!!!!

DAV Gopalapuram is giving out applications on Nov 23rd.
NPS gopalapuram has started last friday.
CVS Rapuram started on Nov 1st.
Harishree Vidyalaya has already completed giving out application forms. So anyone who is interested now has to register with them and if there is a vacancy they would call and give out more application forms.
Other rough dates for some of the schools in south chennai.
Sivasami kalalaya - Jan 1st week
Vidya Mandir - Dec last week
Vruksha montessori - Dec first week
St Johns Besant nagar - January first week.
Shankara academy Adyar - February
St Michaels Adyar - Dec 2nd week
Psbb millennium is issuing from 7th Nov 2011.
Arsha Vidhya mandir Velachery issue in 1st week of Dec 2011.
Dav velachery will announce in Hindu paper in the month Dec 2011
Modern Nanganallur will issue last of Jan 2012 or 1st of Feb 2012.

heard review from an IL that school is very average.. No extra activities.. English is not up to the standards.. You can check it out from others..

 

Thanks for the instant reply. What about Lords internation school - got very few reviews from the NET. Its in a way closer (compared to other schools) .

 

i too got good review about lords.. It is shifting near kishkinta from jan.. So not sure whether they have completed the construction.. I am planning to visit them tomorrow.. Also not sure about the affiliation they have got.. Have to find it out..

 

i enquired them over phone and they asked me to come over for all the details. they have the admission forms in net- u have to download and go with that. u know any on fees structure and timings for LKG?

i have to visit them only by next weekend , as im away this weekend. pls update this thread once you have more details on Lord

 

yes i too spoke with them.. I am only concerned about the distance from rajakilpakkam.. If you are trying for lkg then you can try good earth which is better than other school it seems.. I will update you after my visit..

Hi All,
We r planning to move back to Chennai Anna ngr May 2012 from U.S. Please suggest some good schools in Anna Ngr. My kids will go to 6th & 1st grade. 2nd Language will be problem so considering Chennai Public school. Please provide ur input regarding this school and also Spartan CBSE school. Tried to call Spartan school but didnt pich up the ph nor replied back thru email. As per Spartan CBSE school websit only 25 kids A/C in class, pl let me know if this is true and academically & extra curricular activites how ther r doing.
Appreciate any input from u all. Thx in advance.
