Hi Friends, I've started this thread for moms who have children in grades 10, 11 & 12. Lets discuss about syllabus, coaching, exams, career guidance etc., Here is my set of queries, What do you feel about the CCE pattern in schools following CBSE syllabus ? Does this really help in reducing the stress of the child ? And taking the board exam is also optional from this year. What are the pros and cons of the same. Hi Devi, My son is not yet in the 10th. I feel CCE pattern is very confusing.Sometimes I feel when average grade is taken in to consideration one can benefit as well as one can be in loss since its average calculation.I belive stress has definately reduced since marks system is not there.But meanwhile series of tests and assignments so there is no rest for children! Hi Soumedh, Thanks for replying. Which class and school are your boys studying? My son in DPS, grade 10. Yeah, now the report card itself is divided into scholastic and academic. And the grades vary for both. I agree with you regarding the assignments and projects which takes away most of the time. Regards.
