what do you think of public chatting box?

There are so many sites which has cboxes in them. People from various places come to chat there. some of them share their ids and develop friendship. is that really good??

I think its only for time pass. we never know who the person on the other side is. they may come in girls name to chat and have fun. but what about the other side. if they dont believe and take it easy thats ok. otherwise, it really leads to big probs.

and also there are net lovers. without seeing each other, just by chatting esp girls are asking troubles by themselves.

now a days school students have started these things. i just want to say to parents to be careful and keep an eye on their kids as to how they are using the internet.

pour in your valuable suggestions so that it helps others also from this!

yup, there are all kinds of people in this world. We just have to make sure that our children never give out personal details/information to anyone. We never know who the other person is. It is not easy to convince teenagers about this matter but hope every parent can talk about it openly to their kids..

I am actually from Fiji, I was able to locate a lot of my friends that had moved away to Auz and NZ through a chat that was on fiji classmates. So there are pros and cons in chatting. Each person has to be very careful as to what information they give out. If there are young kids and teens at home, I would advise to watch their chatting habits. While my kids were growing up, we kept the computer in the common area so kids were under supervision.
