    Hello friends!
    I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old.
please suggest me good books to be read to my little ones.
my 5 year old likes to read and is always looking for some material to read. I have tried Iam Sam but it does not have many pictures and the words are too less.
Iam looking for good colourful volumes ...preferably bigger volumes with simple sentences and which can be used as bed time stories as well.
I would like to know publisher details, whether it's available online and also the price.
Iam sure my friends here in IL have tried many options.

Would be most grateful for any suggestions

    thanks
    joel

Usborne books have a great selection. Pick up books by authors like Dr Seuss, Jill Murphy, Julia Donaldson. Don't go for the small novel like books - get the large books with just a couple of lines on each page and pictures with lots of detail. Any bookshop will have such books. Or try Amazon.

ps: the same books can be read to your 2 year old too.

Joel, how about visiting the library and borrow a few books from there before you buy them? I dont know about 5 year olds but my almost 3 year old LOVES Dr.Suess books and of course some simpler Winnie the Pooh etc.

    Hi OP,
You may buy some books from kindle store for your tablet like iPad. here is the link:

    Amazon.com: toddler books: Kindle Store

You can find some free kindle books too. here is the link:
    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...h=n:133140011,k:free+toddler+books+for+kindle

You may want to take atleast some books seperately for 2 year kid, as they like 1 sentence and all big pictures in it.
where as, your 5 year old son likes to read, you try taking books which encourages him to read with some nice short stories, of course with nice pictures.
