For what, a 13yrs old girl save her pocket money to purchase?

MY daughter saved money to pay half for her guitar.
She buys books from the money she saves.
A part of the money saved goes in buying gifts for friends .

 

I used to save a lot when I was that age as my basic necessities were paid for by my parents. It was nice because I knew I could buy stuff when I wanted it and from that found I didn't need to buy a lot of stuff. A little later I would use my money to go out to eat etc with my girl classmates. It gave me a feeling of autonomy.

 

i used to do it to buy earring....i just love them

 

My daughter saves her money in the bank. She says she will buy a car with her money.
She is getting all her necessities from us. So she will buy something big ... that is her
idea.

 

Mainly to buy gifts for their friends or to eat outside when with friends.

 

my daughter saved in her account and so did my son. they have a considerable amount in their account. both are now above 13..and they have this account from when they were kids..

i do give them a pocket money for daily expenses, like transport, petrol, pens and things. they also save from this and are accountable for the spending and saving and i do add a x amount to the same and is credited into their account.

and the money they get from all, and the money on bday half goes for the orphanage the other half for celebrating their bday.

my DD wants to go on a nice tour after her graduation. my son wants to get himself a nice bike.
