Hi sonia,
I am new to this forum..and i like this ...all we can share our thoughts and ideas..well my son turned 4 last month...and now he can read 3 letter words all by himself..first he learned phonics...next i practised him the vowel sounds(first i show the vowel he says the sound and i asked sounds he answered the letters)...later i practised with him vowels 2 letter words..like "an,am,in,on,up".....later 3 letter words...and then long vowels...words like "blind,crash.."....i worked with this..becaz i am not good in english grammer.so first i went to library and searched in the net...i prepared a book with words..
and i told him...."H"is the magic letter..it changes the before letter sounds.."then,chain(cheerios),shoe"...
now he was ok with words..
....Raj
