| Hi Meena, This is Jithiks(Krithika) once again. You had started thread abt kumon vs beestar...right? Anyway, i checked out this site and looks like it is free only for the first week and then we need to register. Have you already started your son in this? How different is this from Kumon? I will also try to post the experience I had with Kumon here also. Thanks Jithiks(Krithika) |

To answer your question, the site beestar gives math free all year long for all students of g1-6, hard to believe, isn't it. I was very excited. We will stay with it to grade 6. However I will have to pay for reading, GT etc. Let me know what do you think about the programs. BTW this programs were created by one local city 50 miles from us, so we found some known friends listed on the site, so it's very funny :) My son loves it, for him this is like a math competition game. Anyway. have to go now. |

| Hi Meena: Beestar is a useful website. Thanks for sharing it with us. I haven't yet registered my children but my son tried a few tests and he liked it. Haven't sent my children to Kumon, so wouldn't know the difference between Kumon and Beestar. Sindhu |

| Hi Meena, Good to hear about Beestar. I had no idea that such a website existed. I checked it out cursorily so can't say what the difference between this and Kumon is. I will ask my friends who have older kids to see if they have used this site. As for Kumon, my son who will be 6 in Aug has been going there for both Math and Reading since last year (just before he turned 5). He has benefitted a lot on both subjects. He has been going there for less than a year now so it could be that the course work gets monotonous as they progress. I don't know. So far I am liking it a lot. But I will try the Beestar site myself and also ask around to see if anyone has tried it before and will post here if I get useful information. Thanks for bringing this out here! SS |
