Schools for a down syndrome child

can try for abacus montessori at perungudi, please check there is a branch at mylapore or alwarper, and learning tree Montessori at Adyar.

 

Most kids with down syndrome have delayed milestone so if she can get those milestone completed the child can easily integrate in main stream school which have inclusive education.

This decision has to be based on teh skill level & milestone achieved as main stream teachers may not be able to handle the kid alone they would need special educator for Montessori which will cove the same activity but differently as kids with down syndrome have cognition issue which needs to be addressed at early age.

A school which is a group of chettinad foundation. They admit children from the age group of 1.5 They admit special children and have special trainers for them. Depending on the childs capacity the time is distributioned between the time spend with the trainer and in the classroom with all the children.

There is a support group for parents having kids with down syndrome
