| Dear Latha, Like the woman who is eagerly, anxiously and expectantly waiting for her first child to be born, I was sitting before the system waiting for the very first response for my attempted poetry. And you were there to reassure me, Latha. Thanks a lot. I am very happy that you liked this poem. love, Quote:

Beautifully expressed! Madurai Meenakshi certainly knows you in and out to shower her love to the most deserving person. And who are we to question her ways (Love)? Regards, Malathi

| Dear Sir, Fantastic poem, I can feel your anticipation about the response and believe me you are fantastic in reinforcing the belief of love..... Love is the only possession that one is never drained of , the more you give the more you have in you to give. Its a beautiful feeling. You have penned such wonderful lyrics. It was something that one can relate too Lovely lyrics, Excellent rhythm Truly enjoyed!!! Love, Devika

| Dear Sridhar, Yet another beautiful creation from you! Now, let me try my hand too - I just can't help it, please! Near My House: The temple and the shopping mall Stand side by side near my house I walked in the mall Booked orders, bought goods Paid for them Walked out of the mall Into the temple Promised ten coconuts in advance For favours yet to be granted Broke ten for those granted Walked out in satisfaction For I prayed Love you for everything For loving you Is being in love With my existence In perfect harmony. The God remained in stony silence ! Love, Chithra. Last edited by Chitvish; 6th April 2008 at 04:18 AM. |

| My dear Sridhar This is an awesome poem. This is the quintessence of laying the soul bare. The beauty of this verse is that it can be read as addressed to mother, wife and the Divine though the last lines profess that it is not addressed to the first two but to the Goddess. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa advocated treatement of the wife as the Mother and the Divine Goddess after the act of procreation. Mahatma's relationship with Kasturba followed the same route. As we grow older and more infirm, the wife assumes the role of a mother in ministering to our needs. Perhaps this is the reason why older couples are revered as Parvathi and Parameshwara. Energy and Matter. At the end of our journey, the wife looms large in a man's life. I have seen an example of this in the lives of Shri Sadasivan and the immortal MS. The way a wedded life is treated in Hinduism is a great tribute to the role of a wife in man's life. You have written a poem that can be interpreted in a thousand ways. And whichever way we interpret it, it ends up as a great tribute to women. It embodies the exalted place that she enjoys in our lives. A truly introspective piece of writing! Sri
