Varalotti in the US -3 - Will You Fly With Me?

Some of us are really gifted with highly flexible body-clocks which can be reset to Pacific Time or IST, in no time. When you are travelling to a country that is several timezones away then naturally there is some kind of an excitement which tries to suppress sleep initially. But then after a while the body takes over.

After living with this body for close to half a century I now know that it is much more powerful than what I think it is. I fear my body much more than I fear anybody else. (pun not intended, ha ha, but on hindsight I want it to be intended...)

After GPS it was jetlag. What next? Something you could not even imagine. I will give you a hint, Kamla. It is about a powerful car and PP. Keep guessing for three days before I post Varalotti in the US - 4.

Thanks Varloo for the nice words. This picture was taken well after the jet lag was over. This was taken on Saturday when we stopped in the office for tying some loose ends. One of my colleagues took the picture.
The picture in the waterfront is a rare one. The 'Chief Of Seattle' is the fire brigade ship in Seattle. It was doing a fire-drill, splashing water on all sides. A very rare and a beautiful sight. So I clicked it.
The other picture is taken before my host's car. His car broke down and was towed away for repairs. And the car dealership had given a Mercedes Benz as a spare car.

Nice to hear all ur US experiences. The US jet lag experience for my hubby was different....I can chat only in morning hrs....which would be nite at US....so only by mid nite he goes to sleep........and he was back to India we all though he is going to sleep for ages........but my hubby disappointed us all....'cause he was very wide awake and speaking to us that we were not able to sleep......

Hello Sridhar - so you fell victim to jet lag! Welcome to international travel - for me, whenever I go to India, I dont seem to have much because I am so excited seeing everyone that I get over it soon. But when we get back and I am at work, it is around 3 in the afternoon that I start with a dull head ache and then it all downhill from there onwards! No use fighting it, I go home and sleep for a few hours - if not, I am a bear!

Glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself - as a fellow accountant, am interested to hear what your training is about?? Care to share?

Also, as you are experiencing all things American, if you get some time, you must watch American football, the season just started and Seattle has a great team.

Somehow this 3 or 3 30 pm appears to be a deadly time for jetlags. It is better to sleep through it for the first few days than to attempt anything important and then mess it up.
I am being trained in US Pension Funds Admin - your 401k Plans, their administration, investment planning etc. We are doing the work back in India.

Yes, I did watch American Football for a few minutes. I was not impressed. I am too old to acquire a taste for it.
I watched two classical movies An Affair to Remember and Guess Who's Coming To Dinner. One was made in 57 and the other in 67. Both were real classics. As a writer I enjoyed seeing two movies whose scripts were so excellently written. If I am able to write a story half as good as any one of them, I will consider my mission accomplished in the field of writing.
