Default A forum for Charity

Dear Moderator,

Could we have a sub forum dedicated to those who are in need of help- those who can’t afford money for treatment / children's studies/ not able to earn for a living. In other words, I mean charity. Lot of people around might be willing for donations but never get to know about those who are in need.

ILites may come up with such issues of people they know/ some news clippings etc (but one thing is that there should be evidence in support of such cases). Hope this request will be considered or else kindly let know in which sub forum to submit / look for such donation seekers. Let us lend a helping hand to our fellow beings.

Thankyou.

Regards
Reshmi

hmm an idea ofcourse worth considering..
but may lead to lot of issues
people may take advantage of it
and ultimately admins will have to face the result good or bad.
so if we think in all angles i wont suggest it at all...
i too worked for charaties..
but this is a very bad idea..
I came across many such incidents and evidence is very difficult as it is virtual world we are in now..

Thanx aparajithaa for the response. I too understand that it may lead to some complications due to misuse and those trying to take advantage.
The request may be considered only if its possible to manage / overcome such difficulties as I know there are many hoax messages spreading around. Just felt it would've been nice to do something of that sort.

Thanx and regards

Reshmi

but if people are really interested IL can itself register for an NGO.
and all our members together can work for it.
and since IL will register it officially we can have some control and trust over the issues that come up..
cause only the people officially into this will be allowed to post up with the issues.
may be then we can have some control over the hoax..

Aparajita, even the NGOs are not trustworthy these days.

But yes, if this forum is started, one way to control it would be that if an x person from mumbai needs help then let x approach a senior person there and the senior person can check out the genuineness of the situation and only people from mumbai help this person so if ever need be they can keep a tab on the receiver.

Atleast that is how we work. Now i have shifted to Pune so i do all my activities from here. We are a group so someone or the other keeps check on the beneficiary.

That is acceptable cause
a local person has a problem and consults the local person
but someone x posting issues of y and z
that wont be fine
and yeah not all NGOs can be trusted
but why i said i because not each and every person can post on things
just so as to have some control over it
if we dont restrict in any way
it will just end up as nonsense
and if the system that is going on here that way it is fine
but a special zone for it may need a different system

thats is what i wanna say
i have no issues absolutely
