It would be really helpful if a forum on legal help is started .It is very difficult to gather info about the rights given to a wife as generally the wife is totally unaware about them. God forbid if she is caught in sticky situations like domestic violence ,infidelity and mental and verbal abuse she does not know what to do .
I had the bitter experence of learning about my rights as a wife and section 498A came to my rescue and my husband stopped abusing me.There is a new law which protects women against violence from any source. Women also have an equal share in there parental property .
Offering moral support is essential but a cornered woman needs some practical advice too. Later she can consult a local lawyer if required.
This is a genuine need and women like the anonymity offered by your site, they will definetly feel nice to know that legally they are safe and cannot be ill-treated in their marital homes.

please go through this link Marriage, Spouse & In-Laws - IndusLadies you will find many members who have faced some real critical problem, and other mebers have helped them out of it. i would appreciate if you can put in the rights of the woman, what action should be taken etc........... in the married life forum, so that ladies can be aware of them.
