GLASS TEMPLE IN MALAYSIA - -

Goddess Raja Kaliamman temple will be opened in Malaysia on October 25th. Final finishing is going on and the total temple is air conditioned.

The temple authorities inform that 95 per cent of the temple's walls, ceiling, domes and pillars were adorned with more than one million pieces of colourful glasses imported from Thailand, Japan and Belgium. "The glasswork were carefully placed together by nine Myanmar workers. Motifs and symbols like Swastika, Namam and Sri Chakra were created from the glasswork in seven colours,".

Should be a wonder once thrown open!!!!!!!!

Hi, She has several names and forms, this is one of them. This amman is called as Kollangkaaliamman in Karaikudi, TN.

Mari or Kaali originated as an ancient village goddess related to fertility and rain. In Tamil, mari means rain. This goddess was a local deity, connected to a specific location, close to a specific tree, a rock or a special spot, mostly in rural areas. Another theory regarding origin of the name arises from the fact that mari in Tamil also means change. Thus, the name Mari Amman would mean goddess who has changed.
