Thanks for sending me a nice post about" The Akshaya Tritiyai"! I would like to add more information about" Akshaya Tritiyai".
The third day of the Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month and is observed as Akshaya Tritiyai also known as Akha Trij or Akha Teej. The word Akshaya means ‘that which never diminishes’ and the day is ideal for beginning new ventures as it is believed that all investments on this day appreciates. The day is also ideal for performing charity and auspicious deeds.
The main puja and prayers on the day is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Therefore you can do a simple Vishnu pooja in the morning with Tulsi leaves and flowers. Some people also perform an elaborate Lakshmi puja or Lakshmi kubera Homam.
Let us all chant Lakshmi Gayatri Mantra:
"Om Mahalakshmyai cha vidmahe Vishnu patnyai cha dhimahi Tanno Lakshmihi prachodayat".

It is beleived that on Akshaya Tritiya, the Sun and Moon are equally radiant It marks the start of a happy summer. The Sun's rays fall on lotus feet of Lord Krishna and hence, at the Baanke Bihari temple in Mathura, thousands of devotees come for this darshan. The idol of Lord Krishna is smeared in snadalwood paste and adorned with light summer clothes and ornaments. In the evening, the Lord is dressed in dhoti.

The whole day of Akshaya Tritiya is considered as a very auspicious day.
