Hi friends,

I m new to this community..I like this very much and it's very useful.I found Hanuman salisa which i searched for my prayer.

I have doubt friends somebody said hanuman salisa should not read by girls is true?

Can i read or not

Hi Viji,

I was in the same confusion when I wanted to start chanting hanuman chalisa. I searched the net extensively and found many articles which said that its not true that ladies cannot read hanuman chalisa. Ladies can definately chant hanuman chalisa but not on period days. Let me see if I can find that article, i'll post the link..

Viji, I dont know about this. But everybody in our family including male /female read Hanuman Chalisa everyday. it was adviced by our family pandit.We have been doing it for yrs.

Can unmarried girls recite hanuman chalisa

Alpa, guess u missed my reply to viji. Yes, unmarried as well as married ladies CAN recite hanuman chalisa..

Hi,
Since Hanuman is a brahmachari.. It is said that We should perform any pooja or chant any hanuman shloka with physical along with emotional purity...
I chant hanuman chalisa every day(except 4 days of periods).. Otherwise i also tell one hanuman shlokam (budhir balam yashodairyam) every night before sleeping..
Am not sure what am doing is right.. but i personally feel it is alright and not a problem..

Hanuman Chalisa can be read by females also.....You should listen to M.S.Subalakshmi rendering this sloka.....nice one

hi viji,

females can recite hanuman chalisa as long as they r clean. recently in the serial in jaya TV "enge brahmanan" they have said about benefits of reciting the sloka and number of times to recite. reciting 9 times in a day for 21 days will make your wish will come true. esp for those who r sick.
