| As the name indicated, on this day, devotees observe fast without drinking a drop of water to purify the soul and beg for forgiveness at the feet of Lord Vishnu. After the fast, donate clothes and grains to the poor and needy. Puja and aarthi with Panchamruta as prasad to the Lord marks the celebration. Observing Nirjala Ekadashee blesses one with happiness and prosperity and gets you closer to salvation.
