like to share few things...in my family...
ladies 'll be getting n filling the navadhaniyams, little rice , fruits, thambulams etc...
v use to gift tht packet among our relatives, friends, neighbors, and also to few unknowns...

our elders use to give some amt of money for the younger ones,
as of my part... i try to make others happy ....so i'm happy :)
tis happens apart from getting golds...

by god's grace all mentioned things r filled with atmost satisfaction...
so goahead friends...
its better v book our golds b4 itself not to get into the rush...

so she use to say.. health, wealth, prosperity should be with us n d surrounds for ever.. so she do all tis.. till nw v follow it...

Yesterday i saw in avalvikadan, it's saying not to buy gold in AT. see the below message, do have any idea recording this? If you have please share with us.

இந்த ஆண்டு அட்சய திருதியை, மரணயோகத்தில் வருவதால் அன்று தங்கம் வாங்க வேண்டாம். ஒரு வாரம் முன்பே நகைகளைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து வைத்து விட்டு அட்சய திருதியைக்கு மறுநாள் வெள்ளிக்கிழமை சென்று வாங்கிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அட்சய திருதியைக்கு முந்தின நாள் 'திதித்துவயம்' (இரு திதிகள் முட்டுதல்) வருவதால் அந்நாளும் பஞ்சாங்க சுத்தியுள்ள நாள் கிடையாது. எனவே அன்றும் நகை வாங்க வேண்டாம்.

May be true. Aval vikadan is a very popular Tamil magazine and these types of magazines are one of the best selling magazines in Chennai...They don't publish such news if its not true. After hearing such things its better to buy the next day..i.e on friday.

They say that "As 8th May is not an auspicious day / good time to buy gold, its better to select the jewel a week before and buy the same on friday (9th May). So book the jewel a week before and buy the same on May 9th.

Valuable info indeed. I came to know about Akshya trithya only after coming to Bangalore but even now I didn't know all these details, specially the salt bit.
