One more story!

Hello Everybody!

I was going through this thread and thought I will share my story with you all. I am marrried for 5 years and all these years my In laws have been driving me crazy.

During all the weekend calls they will say something or the other about my parents and asking about what we did the past week. I know you are a little insecured( my hubby being their only son) but come on want to know everything is too too much(when they don't want to tell anything about them particulaly my MIL).

My hubby is basically a mama's boy and listen to whatever they say. They take advantage of this. If you are so insecured why did you decided to get you son married.

They will say that his son so fortunate to get a wife like me kind of stuff before me and behind my back will talk some rubbish to my hubby(I have caught them before talking like that and even confronted them).

I don't believe them whatever they say nowadays. I know that they are important to my hubby and they have no other go rather than us but come on don't try to exploit me.

Nowadays I am trying to ignore them. I think they know it pretty much and are trying to patch it up by saying something nice each and everytime we talk to them.

Kind out let it all out.

Being a wife of a only son in a family is really hell and dont worry u r not alone. Take it with ease you will get used to this suitation.
I also belong to the same pool its 9 yrs now.
every time i call them they always have stories to complain about my parents. i have turned a deaf ear. See the best side of this u r staying away from them so u dont need to hear to all their gribs. Just remember a golden rule talk sweet adn make it short one or 2 sentences and pass the phone to ur husband. and i Bet as the time goes u will become used to this..when u cannot take it any longer put ur best foot forward and say what u feel .

Thanks for the kind words. I have already started doing that. But you know our patience level is not always the same. And sometimes I express my anger. And nowadays my hubby have also started to understand.

And he knows what exactly irritates me. But he will not convey it to his parents. What to do? As you said. Had to live with it.

its nice to know that you are carring on well. Yes i don understand we cannot be the same all times and would need to vent.. but for what else this site for. share your feeling and pour it out. this woudl make you to feel much better
