Something positive from In-laws side

There are hundreds of posts here that have PILs ill treating DILs (yup, I know that is the norm), but surely there is atleast ONE thing that they have told you or told others about you that has made you happy?

Let me be the one to start:

MIL to her sister in law:

Even though she (meaning me) was brought up overseas, she has more kalachaaram (traditional) than many girls in India. We are indeed lucky to have her.

She has said many nasty things, and behaved worse than a kid many times, but she does like showing off her foreign bred, traditional daughter in law.

Hi dki , soon after my marriage, my mil also proudly introduced me to her friends and neighbours that I was brought up abroad( middle east) . I knew to read Arabic. I scored good marks in my board exam( truth is I scored OK kind of mark only not so high as she told). She exaggerated everything. I remembered this when I read ur post. Thanks

MILs usually say positive things about DILs to OTHERS only to prove to others how nice they (inlaws)are.

As far as I know my mil dint say any bad about me to others .. She says like I cook well take care of family well n generally a good lady at heart to her co sisters ..they say this out of some topic when I visit them ..

I dont know anything about my PILs saying outside to others...but once my PIL told my husband that i cook well and when my husband complaints, he has to know that it's his opinion and not my cooking that's bad...
