Mil acts oh-so-sweet in front of DH and others, but when DH is not there, she''ll say everything she wants to say. Even today morning, she was saying how I used the wrong pan to fry something yesterday and it spoilt that pan and taste, etc. But later in front of DH she was telling..pls eat properly and eat more veggies..you are losing weight (only if it were true..sigh!!!) and DH gives a proud look that his mom cares so much for dil. Don't want DH to think I'm complaining about his saint of a mother, so keeping my mouth shut and venting here...

DH and I sat for lunch. Mil was sitting nearby and watching tv.
DH: CB, how's been your work..looks like you are very busy nowdays and look tired.
Me: Ya, project is scheduled for hand-off soon, lots of loose ends to tie up still and its keeping my whole team busy
(MIL silent..since she doesn't know about my work. As soon as I close my mouth after replying...)
MIL: DS did you hear so and so came to meet your dad. Seems he has changed to a new job.
DH: Oh is it..and conversation goes on and on.
Me: yumsmiley (Good that I can have my food in peace :tongue)

Of all the things that happen at home, the ones that annoys me most are:
    1. Pressure cooker, mixie jar, hot box are not washed after every use.
    2. Frying pans also to be used atleast 2-3 times before washing.
    3. Dhal will be given to sil's son to play and will be spilled all over the floor and he will jump on it, throw it, sweep it, etc and then take it and use it for cooking next day.

Tulipzz..If I'm cooking, I wash all the utensils after every use and also whenever I see vessels/mixie jar kept as it is, I wash them and keep. So no worries :D Regarding dhal, me and fil have told her to give only a small portion to the kid for playing and to collect and keep it after he leaves and then give the same later. But madam, just gives the 1kg dhal dabba for him to play.:eek

    Sensory Play. It is beneficial.
Courtesy:A Handful of Fun: Why Sensory Play is Important for Preschoolers | Not Just CuteNot Just Cute
Sensory play is really part of the scientific process. Whether out loud or within the internal dialogue of the mind, children have developed a question, leading them to investigate- by grabbing, smelling, listening, rubbing, staring, licking , what have you! They are using their senses to collect data and from that, attempt to answer their own questions. Whether or not young children are always able to verbally communicate this process, it is still a valid exercise in scientific inquiry.
