    Badam Halwa

    Ingredients:

    Badam 1 Cup
    Milk 2 Cup
    Sugar 2 Cup
    Ghee 1 Cup

    Method:

    • Soak badam in hot water for 2 hours.
    • Then remove the skin.
    • Grind the badam with milk and make it into a fine paste.
    • Add sugar to the badam paste in a pan.
    • Bring it to a boil and keep mixing till the content becomes thick.
    • Add ghee little by little and continue to stir.
    • The content will absorb the ghee.
    • Stir well and off the stove.
    • Apply ghee on a tray and spread the content.
    • Cool it and make pieces.
    Yummy badam halwa is ready.

    Chocolate drink

    Ingredients

    100 g dark chocolate
    2 teaspoon instant coffee powder
    4 tablespoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    700 ml soy milk
    50 g whipped cream
    4 cinnamon sticks

    Servings: 4

    Recipe directions

    In a saucepan, add the soymilk, salt and sugar. Bring to boiling point. Remove from heat and add the chocolate, cinnamon powder and coffee powder. Stir until the chocolate is dissolved.
    Pour the hot chocolate drink in glasses and garnish with the whipped cream. Put one cinnamon stick and a bit of grated chocolate on each heap of whipped cream.
    Serve the chocolate drink immediately.

    Everybody likes chocolate because of its melt-in-the-mouth consistency.     These are some levels of nutrients in 100 g dark chocolate: 5.3 g protein, 14.9 g fibre, 397 mg potassium, 63 mg calcium and 3.2 mg iron. Chocolate also contains some vitamins.

    Take-out and frozen pizza are acceptable quickie dinners when you are up against the clock, but why relegate pizza as a desperation meal? Making your own at home is really not that difficult or time-consuming. With a bit of careful planning of toppings, you also have a balanced meal all in one simple package.     Black Forest Cake

    For the cake:
    175g - all purpose flour (maida)
    100g - powdered sugar
    25g - cocoa powder
    1 tsp - chocolate essence
    1 tsp - soda
    1/2 cup - refined oil
    Salt, a pinch
    1 cup - curd

    For the filling:
    8 - Arrowroot biscuits
    2 tbsp - mix fruit jam
    1 tbsp - sugar
    1 tbsp - refined oil

    For icing:
    200g - icing sugar
    100g - white butter (home-made)
    100g - drinking chocolate


    Method

    For the filling:
    Mix biscuit powder, jam, sugar and refined oil and warm it slightly.

    For the icing:
    Keep little plain butter aside. Beat the butter and icing sugar till soft. Add chocolate powder and mix well.

    For making the cake:

    1. Sieve maida, powdered sugar and soda together at least three times.
    2. Add refined oil, curd and essence and mix it well.
    3. Beat it in one direction for 15 minute and keep this batter aside.
    4. Take a cake tin and grease it with butter.
    5. Put butter paper according to its size and dust with flour.
    6. Now put the batter in the cake tin and bake it in a preheated oven at 180 C/350 F for 45 minutes.
    7. After one hour of removing it from the oven, cut the cake horizontally through the centre.
    8. Take the first part and put the filling and keep the second part over it.
    9. Spread the icing mixture equally on all sides.
    10. Decorate it with plain butter.
    11. Makes cake of approx. 1&1/2 pounds
