Friends try this avocado chutny or spread which very healthy and nutritious.

    1. avocado 1 ripened
    2. greenchilles to taste
    3. ginger small piece
    4. corriander leaves 1 small bunch
    5. juice of 1 lime
    6. salt to taste

Peel and cut avocado into small pieces.Add all the other ingredients.Blend it in a mixer. You do not need water.Cremy and buttery texture of avocado will help to grind with out water. Chutny will look like green coloured butter. Have this delicious chutny with dosa and chapathi.

For sandwich spread this on bread . Place finely sliced tomato and cheese slice and toast on tava (low heat) or toaster. It tastes GREAT.:thumbsup

    Latha

    Looks yummy :)

In mexican restaurants, one of the appetizers is Guacomole.
It is fresh avacado with chillies and coriander.
They are not blended. I love it.

Hope I will make your chutney soon :)

    hi ,

i bought 2 avacodas costing rs. 25 each without knowing its selection procedure. it was like hard unripened guava. i dont know how to select , whether it has to peeled off or not , which portion to eat and all ...simply bought in the thoght of health & making a dip out of it .:hide:[ thought enna periya brhama sutram ]. so i wasted one in the trial & error method. we tasted the white portion ..... oh nobody liked it. so i kept the other one for ripening nearly for 12 days outside. it was like a stone. & fungus formed outside .. so had to throw it away.:bonkso , my first attempt with avacoda was a failure:cry: then i didnt turn my head to that side.

and now , if you want me to prepare the avacoda chutney i need all step by step details:biglaughright from its selection. ok? plz....

    Hi:

When you buy the avacado it should be firm and not soft. To rippen here is what I do...Hope it works for you...
I put the avacado in a paper brown bag with an apple for a few day until it is a little soft to the touch...
Over all the fruit will not become very soft..it will be firm like a guava, even when ripe. You cannot eat the skin and the large seed but all the flesh can be eaten. Avacodo is the fruit that is found in Ooty..and is usally served there by street vendors with sugar..
It has the texture of butter..
    Hope this helps.
Let me know if you have more questions.
