    Hi

For weightloss if you take twice low calorie food with exercise surely it help in reduction.
mostly we go for roti and chappathi,if you change the diet often will help more,
I like to share low calorie food receipe,i tried it.
Name of the receipe-GRAM FLOUR DOSA
very easy to prepare just 10 mints enough.
    Ingrediants
    1/2 cup gram flour.
    1 smal onion.
    1 small tomoto.
    1 green chilly.
    1/4 spoon turmeric powder
if you want you can add little ginger.
    salt to taste.

    PREPARATION

Fry the gram flour in a dry pan, just to avoid the raw smell.then grind onion, tomoto, chilly, ginger all together.
mix this with gram flour add little water, salt, turmeric powder and mix it well ,add water to get the dosa consistency then leave the batter for 5 mintues.
make dosa asusual you do,dont add oil on it.
it goes well with mint chutney and curd.
    try it ,really different one.
Its full of protein ,no crabs.so a good diet receipe.

    Hi Uma,

Ragi mudde is also considered to be good in controlling obesity.
I usually prepare sprouted moong dal along with Ragi mudde.
The recipe for Ragi mudde and sprouted moong saaru:

    Ragi mudde:

1)In a large mouthed vessel, add a glass of water to it. Heat till the water boils, add salt to taste.
2)Take a glass of ragi flour and mix it in a glass of cold water. Add the dissolved solution slowly to the boiling water, stirring it with a strong ladle (back end).
3)Keep whisking till the mudde (flour dough) becomes smooth and soft without lumps.
4)Reduce the flame, cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes. The consistency must be semi solid like the wheat dough. When serving, wet your hand take out and make a ball and put it in the middle of a plate. Pour some sambar around it and serve.

    Sprouted Moong saaru

    1) In a pan add 1tsp oil,channa dal,green chilles,hing,curry leaves
    2)When channa dal is fried for a while add garlic(4 -5cloves) crushed,onions(1cup),tomato(1/2cup)
3)When the tomato becomes little soft add sprouted moong ,salt
4)Add water to make it little watery and cover the lid and cook for about 5 mins

    Hi saraswathi,
I am a big fan of ragi muddhae but I dont know how to make it. Thanks for your recipe. I will try it. I used to make ragi dosa with less oil it is really good for low calorie food. The method is,

1 cup ragi flour, 1 tbsp urad dal(we have to soak and grind nicely), 1/2 cup rice flour we have to mix all well add salt and buttermilk leave it for 2-4 hrs. I used to grind 1 green chilli, 1 tomato, and corriander leaves and add it to the batter to make it colorful and spicy. (we can also add cut green chillis and curry leaves). Then we have to grease dosa pan with little bit oil and pour the patter into dosa. this doesn't require much oil. Good to eat with coconut chutney and sambar.
