hi friends sorry,i forgot to attach the channa recipie..here it goes.... channa curry 1. channa-1 cup 2. coconut scrapings-1 cup red chillies-4 corriander seeds-2 tsp turmeric powder-1/4 tsp small onion-12 no.s 3. small onion-10 nos (cut into 4 pieces)for cooking curry leaves-2 stems procedure 1.pressure cook channa nd keep aside.... 2.fry 2nd ingredients altogether till it leaves the raw smell nd becomes dry... 3.grind well in a mixie nd add a handfull of cooked channa to this mixture nd again grind well...(this is only to get ideal thick consistency to the gravy) 4.take a vessel,add the cooked channa,small onion pieces,enough salt nd boil for 10mts....to this add ground masala paste,curry leaves nd boil again. 5.season this curry wth musturd nd curry leaves in oil...thats all....:coffee actually i like puttu-pazham-pappadam combination....but my elder son takes puttu only if there is channa curry whch he likes as best comb for puttu...so i cant avoid this curry evrytime.....sure u people vl also luv this curry...giv ur feedbacks aft trying....:cheers

hi leela I also make chana curry with puttu. like ur son I also enjoy puttu with this curry..ofcourse with pappad aswell. But I put pepper while roasting the masala which gives a special flavour to the dish.
