Ingredients: Boiled rice -1 kg omam 1/2 -tsp Water as required Curd /Buttermilk/Milk -as required Method. Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 2 hrs. Stain the water and spread the rice on a thin Muslin cloth and allow it to dry for 1/2 a day. Once it has dried completely ,roast it on a dry kadai till it becomes light brown and allow it cool. Make powder with omam seeds into a very fine powder. Use this powder to make kanji with required quantity of water & have it with milk (or) butter milk as desired by you.
