    Hello Friends !

This is my hubby's quick receipe and believe me he knows what he is doing :clap! Try this and let me know what you think ...This can be done in 15 minutes (or under) if you have cooked Toor Dhal and Cooked rice .

Tip : Even if it is old rice (cooked) all you have to do is sprinkle some water and keep it in the "cook" mode in your rice cooker ,it will be all fresh in 5-10 min.

the whole process may look lengthy ,but it is really helpful for a quick satisfying meal especially for working people .

    Ingredients

Toor Dhal (Cooked) - 1/4 Cup
    Rice (Cooked) - 1 Cup
Tamarind Paste - 1/4 tsp ( vary according to your taste)
    Sambhar Powder - 2 tsp
Onions - Big onions/small onions - as needed
    Green Chillies -2
    Oil - 2tsp
    Ghee - 1 tsp (optional)
    Garlic - 2 cloves (Optional)
    Water - 3/4 cup ( as needed)
    Hing - 1/4 tsp
    Corriander leaves - 1tsp

    Temper

    Mustard seeds- 1tsp

    Method:

Heat the oil in the frying pan ,add the mustard seeds .once it jumps around add the onions and green chillies & saute the onions to pink .

Meanwhile take a microwavable container , dissolve the tamarind paste in water ,add hing, sambhar powder ,microwave high for 5 min ( the time may vary based on the microwave capacity so vary as needed) let the tamarind water come to a complete boil & by this time the raw smell of the tamarind and the sambhar powder should have gone )

Add the rice ,dhal to the sauteed onion & green chillies.also add the boiled tamarind water +sambhar powder mixture and switch off the stove when desired consistency is reached (semi solid) ,add 1tsp of ghee and decorate with corriander leaves.

Pls post your comments on this. Will love to hear back from you all !
Kudos Bowto you - my dear hubby !

    Hi Supriya,Arunarc,Cindhuja,

thanks alot for your quick response - well agreed ! i will change the name to Bisibelabath - i didn't post it as bisibelabath since i didn't add any of the masalas -cloves,cinnamon etc & just used the sambhar powder ,but i think we can call it bisibelabath which will be more appropriate sorry guys bonk!
