Magee Awwwwwwwwwwww....this..this..this is what expected,a little pusssssh. This is my last year yummmmm goodies http://www.indusladies.com/forums/recipe-central/237316-my-diwali-sweets-savories-2013-a.html This time no mood, so till yesterday morning,no list,no prep. Suddenly jumped up,milling done. Murukku mix ready. Thought kick off from Sunday,but being lonely and boredom by noon becose of heavy rain. so by evening within two hrs my spicy murukkus ready. Yet to tick n pick off the list of savories and sweets. Sure to share mine the day before Diwali. Good luck Chefs. Thanks.

Sharing my Diwali happiness with you all This year made: Savories... 1.Spicy murukku 2.Butter Murruku(white one)...no spice 3.Thattai(thattu vadai)..full of crumbled ground nuts,soaked bengal gram and moong dal Sweets.... 4.Gulab Jamun 5.Jangiri 6.wheat Halwa 7.Kaju Kathli 8.Athirasam 9.And the sweet in small dish... sweet Boondis with left over Jera,packed with fried cashews,almond,pista and dry fruits.
Jangiri--- successful first attempt Bit messy in swirling the shape directly in oil,but tasting crunchy like store bought. Wheat Halwa---first attempt used only wheat flour,rich in cashews and dried grapes Athirasam ---- struggled a bit with the dough but managed(reinvention) and the last set with button shaped.
