How much time do you take to make chapatis, say 10 chapatis ? You should include the time for all the 3 steps of kneading the dough, rolling the chapatis, and cooking the chapatis over heat. Lets give honest answers here please ) i think rice is much easier to make than chapatis.
20-25 minutes for 10 rotis from dough to the container.. i have a friend who makes 2 chappatis in one rolling . i have tried it it never comes right..
the time schedule to make both the dishes will be same as off me. we have to make rice If you wash the rice and boil no more work but we have to make some side dish this will take at least 30 min so we need 40 min, If you make the Chapati or Roti same time will consume. Preparing a side dish will take 15 min Dough making and curing (10 min) and making 10 chapati in 15 min almost same time will be. We should apply the time management in Kitchen too so that we can cook peacefully. I really enjoy the cooking by seeing the colour change, eye measurement and flavoring alll all i love
Hai IL , In my home me and my hubby stay. for us maximum 6 chapatis is enough. It takes almost 30 to 40 minutes. I feel it is easier to make rice rather than chapatis. thank you
Most of the days for dinner i make chapatis. It will take more or less 30 mts. Knead the dough in 10 mts. Will keep it aside for at least 1.30 hrs in 20 mts i will make 10 chapatis.
Making chapathi is like a race for me, slowly i start then to test my ability i fix up time and see how much i could end up, chappathi making is our ability, rice is gas ability as it cooks we rests and chapathi we make all 95percent, rest5% to gas.. So its nice job of making chapathi, i make 12-15 in half an hour as the dough kneading are all done and kept an hour or two before...
8 years aga the word chapatthi was the deadliest to me.. From a total south indian family got married to someone in the defence.. But now chapatthi is dearest to me.. I can tell u the exact time but like i can put my tawa on d gas, then knead the dough n make sofy chapattis fast fast.. Infact after a tiresome outing wen we return home, i prefer making dhall and roti than rasam and rice.
I love making rotis... specially the flame ones. I usually knead the dough and let it rest for at least half an hour and then to make about 10 chapatis...less than half an hour includes clearing the counter.
